Medical image processing: pattern recognition in cellular and tissue images
As the reliability and performance of computer vision and machine learning techniques increases, computer-aided diagnosis is gaining growing acceptance. We are developing demanding pattern recognition and medical image processing solutions for automated diagnosis based on images of cells and tissue.
Inspection of cell images
We offer medical image processing algorithms for the automatic inspection of immunofluorescence images with the following modules:
- segmentation and separation of each cell object,
- computation of specific cell characteristics, and
- automatic classification into specific classes of cell types.
Automatic tissue processing
Our medical imaging algorithms allow for automatic processing of tissue images by means of the following modules:
- image enhancement to remove inhomogeneous illumination and image noise,
- image stitching to obtain complete cell images,
- automatic detection of valid cell regions, and
- classification of cell regions.
