KillAsthma – A New Approach for the Early Diagnosis of Asthma of Children
Veröffentlicht amEven though asthma belongs with 235 Billion patients worldwide to the most frequently respiratory diseases, it is not much known about its causes and processes of genesis. Furthermore the diagnosis is difficult. Especially for children an early recognition of this disease is important to save lives. The project partners are focussing on an innovatiove approach, which is based on the analysis of blood cells to estimate the risk a patient is came down with asthma. The goal is to develop a method, that allows for easy and fast diagnosis of asthma as well as monitoring a correspondig therapy.
Partner in EU Project
Veröffentlicht amSince the beginning of March 2015 the PRC GmbH is partner of the new European project ‚Training the Next Generation of European Visual Neuroscientists for the Benefit of innovation in health care and high-tech industry‘ – abbr. NextGenVis. This project is part of the framework program of Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 wich is funded by the European Union.
Within this project PRC is focussing on neuro-biological machine vision systems and the improvement of algorithms for pattern recognition. Thus for instance one goal is to improve techniques of deep learning based on the neuroscience expertise of the consortium.

PRC and Big Data: German Funded iPRODICT
Veröffentlicht amWe are hapy to announce that PRC is part of the German project iPRODICT (Intelligent Process Prediction based on Big Data Analytics), which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMB+F). The consortium is completeted by the German Research Center for Artifical Intelligence, the Blue Yonder GmbH, the Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems, the Software AG and the Saarstahl AG.
The purpose of the project is the development of intelligent approaches for part-based autoation and the improvement of business processes. Based on the analysis of collected process data as well as the realtime analysis of sensor data the production process should be optimized using prediction algorithms. Thereby PRC is dealing with the development of algorithms for the visual inspection of steel.

Launching Cooperation Project LINDA
Veröffentlicht amWe are happy to announce that PRC is part of the exciting project LINDA, which aims at the improvement of usage and power of media asset management software. Based on our pattern recognition, machine learning and computer vision knowledge, we are focussing on the development of new techniques for easy and intuitive image management and retrieval. This project, which is conducted in cooperation with DFKI and Neo7even GmbH, is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMB+F).
